What Happens In Vegas…
I remember, somewhere back in the mists of time (like maybe a year ago), a man could sidle up to a Las Vegas gaming table with a drink in one hand, a cigar in the other, and gamble away as much as he cared to lose. I wonder if you can still smoke a cigar at a gaming table in Las Vegas.
I don’t know because I didn’t attend this past weekend’s optical trade show Vision Expo West. I was bogged down with work in New York. I wish I had gone.
I keep hearing about some glorious future where everybody will have a 3D printer in their homes and they’ll never have to leave to get consumer goods ever again. A big downside to that would be it’d render trade shows unnecessary. Las Vegas is a fascinating panorama of humanity without any apparent conscious effort or even awareness on the part of the municipality. A trade show, beyond work considerations, is a fine excuse to go.
Unfortunately one somehow feels an excuse is necessary.
I was going to write about peculiarities of vision and the art that results, but wanted to think about it a little more before posting. I will try to post it tomorrow or the day after.
Nice Article regards Las Vegas Humanity and we are looking for your next article about peculiarities of vision.
I was going to post it today but felt like remembering Silmo while it was timely. It’s coming.
Thanks for reading.
